TabTick is a local-first Chrome extension that helps you understand where your Chrome browsing time goes.
TabTick stores the following data in chrome.storage.local on your device:
youtube.com or github.comTabTick does not store page contents, keystrokes, screenshots, form entries, passwords, or full desktop activity. Version 1 stores normalized website domains rather than full URLs.
The stored data is used only to show browsing time summaries in the extension popup and dashboard, including daily totals, weekly totals, top websites, and local category summaries.
TabTick does not sell, transmit, rent, or share browsing activity data. The extension does not send usage data to any remote server.
tabs: reads the active tab URL so TabTick can identify the current website domain.storage: saves usage intervals and reports locally.idle: pauses tracking when Chrome reports the user is idle or locked.alarms: periodically reconciles tracking and weekly report generation.favicon: shows website favicons in local reports.You can remove locally stored TabTick data by uninstalling the extension from Chrome or clearing the extension's local site data in Chrome.
TabTick's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Browsing activity is used only for the user-facing feature of local website screen time reporting.
